Saturday Night...when the boys out playing

I thought I would test out the old  new sewing machine out again... I have been left to my own devices at home so I had some time on my hands to knuckle down.

I picked up this lovely floral print as an off cut from the car boot sale last bank holiday weekend and I have been wanting to get my hands on it. Needless to say this gorgeous print needed to be featured in my bedroom so decided to create another CUSHION!

I tried a new technique this time with cutting the corners of the material by measuring up from the corner by 0.5 inch and 2 inches up both sides as stated in a blog by www.u-createcrafts.com. I did feel that this made the overall shape of the pillow more square and not as pointy at the sides.

 

I'm quite chuffed with my finished product and I also had time to make a little stuffed heart for added decor to my bedroom... even the boy said they looked pretty good.
